Yes you can, but the functionalities will be limited like phone calls text messages. Emails S health watch faces and other notifications will work

"? I haven' tried, but have been told that if you can download the Gear app from the Play store, you can use the watch with the device. You will loose a lot of functionality though since it won't have a constant connection to a device with data access (assuming your tablet isn't 3/4G). Sorry, there was a problem.
