You can google "PS5 m.d compatibility list" and find the official Sony page showing what to look for in a drive. This is Gen 3x4, while Sony recommends Gen 4x4. Also, Sony recommends 5,500 MB/s while this is rated at 3,500 MB/s. I don't know the details of M.2/NVMe implementation in the PS5, so there's a chance that the slot is backwards compatible with Gen 3x4, but why risk it?
