• I don't believe they can be you have to sync them like all other wireless headphones(in the case) preventing you from mutilinking not saying it cant be done but when paired together they stop playing if they are to far apart. I'd ask Samsung support if theirs a way.

• Yes the buds can be used independently. I can't answer other question I only have Samsung android.
