- Answer Yes it will work perfectly. It's an unlocked smartphone and works on any GSM carrier even outside US it will still work for you. No need to worry.

- Answer According to a Best Buy sales person I spoke to; this is a GSM phone and cannot be activated on Verizon. I wouldn't trust trying to activate any of Best Buy's "unlocked" phones on Verizon network.
