I personally like the smart setting. Yes it does crank out a lot of center volume, but the speaker has its own internal system that can organize sound appropriately. Keep in mind that how you have the bar connected to your TV will also dictate the overall experience, not to mention what your source to your audio is be it streaming 4K, Blu-ray, 4K movie and HDR.
