Yes you can connect to an LG TV. I did and it works great. I even use the ARC function so it comes on when I turn the TV on. The volume is also controlled by the same remote.

One thing I have read, though, is that the LG’s do not currently support “eARC” for lossless HD audio, but I have not noticed any real major difference, other than just lower volume, coming from my TV through ARC, as opposed to being plugged directly into the sound bar.
