No, he asked the right question as ALL VR HMDs generate heat in some way. With the electronics that are in them, specifically the screens they absolutely get "hot". I can't answer about the Odyssey yet but it will definitely generate some level of heat on your face. The other poster clearly hasn't used VR before...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been using the Samsung Odyssey for a few days and it gets a little warm, but not hot. The Lenovo might be a little more warm, but the Rift I had was intolerable. Not sure if my Rift ran warmer because I removed the headphones, but it definitely was not good to wear for more than 15-20 minutes at a time. I played Elite Dangerous for about 12 hours Saturday with my Samsung and it was a blast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does have a faux leather that can get sweaty if you get a workout, but the unit itself gets a little warm due to the AMOLEDs, nothing terrible however
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, not really. Also, the face cushion comes off and can be replaced so, there should be no problems with heat.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been using this for about 5 hours straight at this point. It does not get hot. It's construction is phenomenal!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Used it for over two hours and it gets slightly warm. The Odyssey is much more comfortable (even with glasses) than my Oculus Rift headset and the higher resolution AMOLED screens are far superior to the Oculus Rift.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you may have posted this under the wrong product. This device doesn't get hot.
