“Can the rear speakers be used as full sound, or if surround sound is turned off will they simply not work?”

• No they can't. I was hoping they would be of better quality but their not. The sound bar gives good sound but the rear speakers don't hardly put anything out unless you and at almost full blast and then sometimes you can hear sound coming out of them.

• Hi Pikka! The sound played through the rear speakers is determined by the signal coming in. If the signal is a stereo audio signal, only the front soundbar speakers will produce sound. If the signal is surround or 5.1, then the rear speakers will produce sound. You can choose to simulate the surround on a stereo signal by changing the sound mode. ^Tim
