They say you can mix and match name brands, but for the best quality you want to keep LG tv’s with LG soundbars and the same with Samsung because they just sync better with their own brands.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi! The HW-A40R is not brand specific and is compatible with digital optical or Bluetooth wireless audio connections. Check the back of your TV, or consult the user manual if needed, to determine if your TV supports one of these two audio connections for compatibility with the HW-A450 Samsung Soundbar. ^Tim
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It makes no difference as far as brand. The comment regarding how they "sync" is way off target. If you think the optimal thing is to buy the same brand TV and sound bar because of compatibility then you may not have a solid grasp of how this all works. You'll connect depending on your TV regardless of brand and your sound bar with HDMI, digital optical, or analog composite audio. If keeping the brands matched was important then pray where do I get a Yamaha TV so that it will sync with my Yamaha sound bar? I'd ask the same about Polk, JBL, Harman, Klipsch, and the list goes on.
