Will the speakers work without wiring them null

id assume that's not how they're designed to work.

Hello Jenny, The rear speakers on the HW-A40R will need to be connected with the provided speaker cable to the wireless transmitter. This will allow a wireless connection between those speakers and transmitter to your soundbar. ~Samsung Solutions
