• Hi there, The HW-S50B Soundbar will be able to turn on/off with an Optical Cable as Auto Power Link is turned ON by default. To make sure that the HDMI will turn the soundbar on/off you will need to turn on HDMI-CEC or Anynet+ within your TV. ~Samsung Solutions
