Hi Harpo, The Samsung HW-S50B soundbar uses an external AC power adapter, which connects the device to a standard electrical outlet. This adapter converts the AC power from your wall outlet to the DC voltage required by the soundbar. The power input port for this adapter is located on the rear panel of the soundbar. ~ Samsung Solutions
