Hi Bob, Yes the HW-S60B Soundbar does not require a Samsung TV for Dolby Atmos to work. It will work as long as you are connected it with a HDMI cable to a TV that is Dolby Atmos compatible and playing Dolby Atmos content! ^Andrew
