“I bought a wireless soundbar, but the optical cable has to be connected from the soundbar to the back of the tv, even though it's using wifi. Do you have to plug this into the tv or can it be plugged into the wall across the other side of the room?”

Hello Deb, You will not be required to connect any cables from the HW-S60B Soundbar to a compatible Samsung TV when using Wi-Fi. Follow the steps below on how to set this feature up. Pre-connection Checklist • Wi-Fi connection is available only on Samsung TV. • Check whether the wireless router (Wi-Fi) is turned on and the TV is connected to the router. • The TV and Soundbar must be connected to the same wireless network (Wi-Fi). Change the input source of the TV by using the Audio menu to Soundbar. • Samsung TVs released in 2017 or later Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Output > [AV] Samsung Soundbar S60B You are also able to use the SmartThings app to connect both your TV and Soundbar to the same Wi-Fi network and pair them together. ~Samsung Solutions
