“will these work for my husband to hear the tv and still let me hear the actual television. For him to hear the television he has to have it so loud it about breaks my eardrums. He is on hospice and tv is all his enjoyment.”

I would say yes but it depends how much hearing loss your husband has sustained. Id recommend trying them out and see if he can hear with them when you 2 are actively watching TV. If they don't save the receipt and return them in exchange for some actual earmuff headphones as they will be able to go to higher level audio settings depending on his needs.

As long as you have your TV set up so that it can send external audio signals *without turning off the internal speakers*, you should be fine. There are a number of accessories sold that you can plug into your TV to send audio over bluetooth that would enable you to use these headphones. There are also some sets that are specifically designed as a package to provide a wireless TV listening experience! I'd definitely recommend taking note of what TV you have, what kind of inputs/connections it has, and talking to someone at a store who knows what they're doing!

These headphones do have independent volume control so he would be able to listen to it at a different level from you, however it might be something to test out. Headphones tend to have a volume level that they don't go over to protect hearing which might be lower than will let him listen where he wants. I hope this helps with your concern. ^Viv
