The speaker is about 6 watts maybe 10 watts pushing it and unfortunately even though it sounds great, it will not bring enough volume for a 2500 SQFT home or room size. It can give you decent volume for a large livingroom. Mine is 18.5 ft wide by 28 ft long and it did decent on full volume. Hope this helps.

The larger the space you are trying to fill with sound the more surface area of speaker you will need. You can achieve this with several smaller speakers or several larger speakers. An important note is that the speakers that have more than one driver (speaker cone) may have a crossover built in so that each cone is delivering different frequencies. This will give you a better overall sound. If you are using Sonos for the entire 2500 sq. ft. use multiple play 5s or 3s.
