You obviously don't understand how resolution works. There is HD (720p) Full HD/FHD (1080p) QHD/2k (1440-1700p) and UHD/4k (2160+). The peak resolution of the monitor is 1440p, which is 2k. It is not capable of 4k. It also will not down convert to 1080p as most blu-ray players will recognize 1440p, but it will down convert to 1440p because the monitor is not capable of 2160p.
