“Why is there no support for this monitor? Samsung support says this model doesn't exist therefor no drivers or firmware. Not a single reference for this model on their website? How is this possible? Their name is on it!”

I was able to find the firmware for the monitor. I just updated mine and everything is working fine. What was in the update for the monitor??? I have no clue as there is no notes on what it fixed.
