Great questions! Yes, the vacuum will attempt to reach the base when the battery is low. It will also continue it's cycle after it has charged. However, there is always a chance that it could get stuck between objects. The vacuum can also transition to area rugs, depending on the rug's height and color. Dark or black rugs can be registered as drop offs to the sensors. ^Jecca
Yes, the bot will travel back to the base when it senses the battery low, however most of the time it gets lost along the way and I will find it "dead" and have to take it back to its base. Yes, it transitions well from hard floor to carpet, except watch out for throw rugs with long fringe, it can get caught up. We run it downstairs everyday - about 2K sq ft, and it takes about 2 charges to do the entire area. The dust collecting bin is small, so it needs to be empty after each charge.
Yes it will go back to its base and charge up if the battery starts getting low. We haven't had any problems with transitioning from area rugs to hardwood (which I would think is similar to tile). My husband and I love this bot and wish we'd purchased one sooner. We have two dogs that shed. This is a game changer.
It will go back to dock during cleaning charge and pickup where it left off. My main floor takes 2 attempts to finish this but it does great job mapping out area and knowing it’s not done. As far as transition it will auto sense the flooring type and change the suction. My living room is carpet and rest of floor hardwood it’s able to know when it rolls between two or onto rug and auto change suction level. If you want to split hardwood and carpet it does come with two different brushes in box
very good Good vacuum
