There are no options for totally cordless applications. You have to consider the fact that power is required to achieve sound. If you want 100% cordless then you have to recharge them which will become annoying very fast. If you don't want to deal with an outlet and cord then you have to revert back to a system from the early 2000s and no one wants that.

Yes they have AC power cords. I do not recommend hanging them from the ceiling.

Hi JohnnyB, The Wireless Rear Speakers included with the HW-Q990F Soundbar do require you to plug them into a power outlet. ~ Samsung Solutions
