Yes you could. It uses the samsung SmartThings hub app. But I have bought 12 of these units to track assets outside and if it gets below 32° they just quit working and shut off randomly. I have been "troubleshooting "these with samsung and they basically said the battery cant handle the cold and I'll have to just live with it. I told them they need to refund my money because they sold me a defective product, but they refuse. Told me to take it inside and warm it up and try using it then. Samsung trackers are very limited and have a serious design flaw
