“My remote control will not work..I have fresh batteries in it, but when I press 'play' or any other button (event he power button) nothing happens...without the use of my remote this device is almost useless...is there a way to make my remote work?”

Do you have any other Samsung products? All of my tvs are Samsung, as well as, my blu-ray player. Remotes for any of them will work on any of their products. That would be the easiest solution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you have direct tv, you can sinc with the player and use the direct tv remote. Or if you have a Samsung tv sinc the two & use the tv remote.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This happened with our remote too. I called up Samsung and they walked me through a hard reset process, very simple. It worked for us: 1. Take out batteries from remote, point remote at blu ray player while holding down remote's power button for 30 seconds. Then release. 2. Unplug blu ray player power cable from power outlet for 30 seconds. 3. Plug power back in and put batteries back into remote (make sure batteries are still good). Should work, good luck.
