• I used to work in electronics during my college years. I always advised my customers to not mount it vertically since the disc is read on the bottom. Mounting it any other way than flat (horizontal) might cause skips since the disc would not be firmly in place. Just my opinion. If it works, go with it. Won't harm anything but possibly the disc.

• Since the disc lays in a tray, I wouldn't recommend it. It may fall off and become stuck inside the player.

• The unit should sit horizontally on a flat surface when playing a disc. If you never, ever play a Blu-Ray or DVD - and just Stream and stream ONLY - that might work for some people. For using a disc, it must be on a flat surface. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
