I downloaded the app that came with the drive, (Samsung Portable SSD) and its pretty straightforward. You plug the SSD in, launch the app, and hit the update button within the app. It should update within a couple seconds.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I saw the same thing - but had a 500GB I had been using for last year and gave it to my wife for her iMac. I opened up the firmware update and clicked through the non compliant wizard compatibility. Have had no problems and set it up as a partitioned back up drive on my MacBook Pro. Both my wife and mine were used the same way with no problems.
