“I’m looking to purchase one to use in a mobile DJ setup. I would be loading mp3 and wav files on the drive filling the drive to about half of its capacity—at least 4 hrs continuous play time for a show. Anyone have feedback on this application?”

• While I’m not a DJ, I’ve stressed this little drive out through photography and pushed it to the limit of data transfer and the drive seems to be faster then my computer (a brand new MacBook Pro) can read/write. I’ve also had a file corrupt on this drive without it compromising any other data. It’s a beast. If any SS drive can handle the transfer load you’re mentioning, it’s this.

• This is a perfect device for what you want to do. But honestly a typical high capacity USB thumb drive will do the same thing.
