• ChrisMD: Yes, you can use it for backups with your 2023 Macbook M3 Pro. The T7 Shield comes preformatted in exFAT, however you will have to reformat when using Time Machine. - Samsung Memory

• yes just need to go thru the Time Machine setup. easy and very fast. I am using it for the same thing too.
