• It will show all files on the drive. The OS (Windows, Mac, Linux) determines what shows, this is merely a storage device nothing more. Storing duplicates windows will ask if you want to replace the file but only if it has the same name.

• The drive does not do anything on its own. Backups, file copying, etc. are all controlled by software on the computer.
