Yes the Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Bluray player is compatable with almost all HD tv's. Just as almost all Bluray players work with almost all HDTVs. The M series of Vizio tvs is not HDR compliant. In order to see the huge difference in picture quality the TV needs to be HDR capable. If youll notice on the cover of all 4K movies it says HDR as well as the Back. HDR is High Dynamic Range. Basically Brighter Brights and Deeper Darks and a wider color range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to find out (the Vizio) if it's UHD compatible / UHD compliant. Yes it'll work, but you won't max out the capabilities. Honestly, if you didn't spend at least $1500 on an awesome sale, probably not (Samsung 8500), then your TV isn't. The new 2016 models are loaded though with UHD as a baseline.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it accepts an HDMI cable, then yes. If it's not a4k TV then you may be overbuying.
