• Yes, it has the built in software that will upscale any blu-ray movie to 2160.

• Only if the file is a standard aspect ratio (350, 480, 720, 1080)

• I have viewed all kinds of mp4 movies, color and black & white thru the USB port, and there isn't any difference.

• Yes it does upscale any files stored on a external device it makes my MP4 files look amazing.
