• yes if your receiver doesn't support HDR the bluray player has a hdmi out just for the sound you will just have to connect your tv straight to the bluray player for picture and then use the other hdmi on bluray player for sound

• Yes you can either use just the one HDMI out to your receiver and that will carry both audio and video to your receiver or you can use the separate HDMI outs, one for the audio to your receiver and one for the video to your tv.
