I'm guessing you have an android since you asked relating to it but at the home menu of the UHD player (ubd-k8500) obviously you should have seen the screen mirroring icon and like my tv..... Sony bravia xbr-65x910d and models alike are all android and i just happened to have an android phone when i bought and still do and upgraded but in ur pull down box where you have easy access to all the main apps and what not in ur phone there should be a smart view icon showing a TV which if you have Bluetooth on and you click screen mirroring on the t.v. and hit the smart view it should come straight up on ur phone screen..... if im not watching a UHD Movie im on YouTube or watching a movie I bought off the Google store on my phone and connection is hardly ever interrupted.....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I hope I understand your question correctly. Both the Samsung player and your phone have to be on the same network (LAN) in order to cast. The Samsung can be connected either via WiFi or wired ethernet and your phone has to be connected over WiFi to the same network. One more condition is that the WiFi on your network does not implement wireless isolation between the connected devices (a feature hardly used and typically turned on for guests networks). When wireless isolation is on any ethernet packet from a wireless device with the destination of another device on the network, wired or wireless, is dropped and the two devices are not visible to each other. Some casting implementations are not fully compatible but where is a will there is a way. You can always find a solution.
