It plays back 3D blu-rays if that is your question. It loads 3D blu-ray discs in about 7-8 seconds, which is very fast.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Bluray player is 3D compatable. It will play 3D movies but only in 1080p. It does not have the capability to upscale 3D movies to 2160p. Besides nobody is currently manfacturing 4K movies in 3D and no company has plans to. It would require an extreme amount of data per disk. If this player is hooked up to a 3D capable tv you should have no problems watching 3D Movies. I have had this 4K player for about two month now and I love it. The remote is a little small and does not have a seperate FF buttons. You have to hold down the Next Chapter button to access this feature. This is my only complaint about it.
