“Since my 4K tv already upscales my regular blu-ray disks, will this Samsung 4K player upscale them even more? Or should I just save my money and continue using my regular blu-ray player with my 4k tv if I'm not going to purchase 4k discs in the future?”

I tested this out myself. I played a blu ray disc on my ps4 and then played the disc on the k8500 player and it was noticeably better. So yes, the K8500 will upscale better than video game consoles and probably most blu ray players.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the upscaling is further enhanced when using this 4K player. The picture quality is noticeably different but not by much. Once you've watched a movie in 4K, you realize the upscaling can't compare.
