• The Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Bluray player is ONLY a Player. The ARC, Audio Return Channel is just that. Since this is ONLY a player and not a A\V reciever the ARC doesn't need to send audio Back to the Player from the TV. It does have two HDMI outputs on it. The main is for Audio and Video and the second is for Audio only, so that you can run audio to a reciever that doesnt have 4K 3D pass thru.

• I tested ARC once, and it worked, but I wouldn't recommend it since you don't get lossless audio (Atmos/DTS-HD MA/DTS:X/TrueHD). It has two HDMI outputs, so you can use the audio out HDMI to go to a receiver.

• It works well with my Samsung 9500 series tv ARC function. Turning on the 4K Blu-ray player will also turn on the tv.
