• No, the way the dvd tray operates the dvd merely lays in it and isn't secured in anyway. They tray it's self isn't designed to go in and out in that manor either. There is almost no dvd separate system designed for anything other than flat on shelf set up.

• Yes very easily, it's thin and would be best mounted with the disk tray facing up! Simple functional controls great unit!
