“I have the new Samsung Flip z. I'm pretty sure it will work with that phone, but my concern is my phone case, and also I have on a Lisen car holder magnet attached to the bottom half. I'm not sure how well the charge would go through.”

It is not recommended to wirelessly charge with a magnet attached on the back since the magnet may interfere with magnetic fields generated by the charger. You may position the magnet a bit lower than where the wireless charging component is on the back of the phone.
