Is this compatible with a MacBook? null

This comes formatted in xFAT , Apple products should be able to write to this. Window users for faster speed need NTSF formatting

Not sure about Mac Book. It cone with a Type C connection with USB on your computer side. If you have a USB input on your mac, then you are ok.
