Why do I need this at all for the Switch? null

You do not necessarily need it but the switch does have limited room. If you plan on purchasing digital games you will run out of room quick!

Gives you more memory, Switch only has 32gig, even if you have the physical game, it still needs to install game data, with the memory card if you download games, it down loads them to your memory card. I have 8 download games on a 64gig card, and still have 50 gig left.

You don’t NEED it. It just gives you additional memory if you plan on buying a couple of games, if you’re gonna play one or two you won’t need it.

It allows you to download more games once your internal storage is full.

Just like any game system you need storage to savr your game

You have to have it for your switch. It's just to add some extra storage space. Really, you could just not have one, but then you wouldn't be able to have as many games on it.
