“Will this Clip mount to a Linux desktop for file transfers?”

• It will mount but some commands needs to be run from the terminal every time you plug it in.

• Don't know precisely, but it worked fine with my Macbook Pro. If something works with Mac, it typically works with all others. I do like this player, particularly being wireless.

• It's a standard USB connection. Your operating system shouldn't be a factor? I don't know Linux but unless it's somehow not compatible with a standard USB file transfer, I don't know what the problem would be.
