“Can you build playlists directly on this device? Like, once I have all the music loaded, I want to be able to build and edit playlists on the fly without needing to hook back up to a computer.”

• No, you can't. As a matter of fact, I have been unable to create playlists even on the computer. I have followed the instructions in the manual (that you have to access online at Western Digital) and can't get it figured out.
