I had the same issue, what I did I push the card with the adapter little deeper to make the card click and stay inside, hope it works for you too.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine worked fine on my mini 2 and 3. Did you try any other SD cards to see if they work in that holder. And are u getting the clicking noise when u push it in. Because I should have to push it in again to get it to release. If it's not working like that then it's your card or holder that's bad. But could be just your card if it wasn't removed the correct way to begin with.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It’s kind of weird but you have to kind of use your finger nail and push it in there. If you naturally put it in there, a little bit will still hang out and then you just have to take your smallest fingernail and push the rest it. You should hear a click. If not, try it the other way. It should go in with the uneven part first.
