No, our dashcam requires a max of 32. Something about the code it writes in cannot be read by the video movie maker program

The U3 cards are compatible with the UHS transfer bus used in newer devices. This is the speed you need if you are filming in 4k,1080p, HD and UHD video. It might be overkill for your camera. In your manual it should tell you the best sd cards to use.

Works great in my D7100. Class 10 is the highest class, so the 3 is just a further classification. Your equipment will dictate what read/write speed you can reach but the card will work.
