Per the manufacturer: "UHS Speed Class 3 designates a performance option designed to support real-time video recording with UHS enabled host devices." I recommend you check the Sony HandyCam's manufacturer's specifications to confirm if this card will work with your device.

This is the speed you need if you are filming in 4k,1080p, HD and UHD video. It might be overkill for your camera. In your manual it should tell you the best sd cards to use.
