• You can password protect it by installing SanDisk Security app. The installer is available in the disk itself. So it's Free.

• Hi, please be informed that you can use the pre-installed software in the SSD Drive to password-protect your data. However, please be informed that it will not lock the whole SSD Drive instead it will create a password protected vault inside the SSD Drive wherein you can transfer the files that you want to lock.
