Yes, with some caveats. You definitely need iOS 13 and Apple's Lightning-to-USB-3 adapter. (Don't cheap out and get the older USB adapter; you want the one that has two female ports.) You first plug the adapter's male Lightning end into your iPhone's Lightning port, then plug a Lightning power cable into the female Lightning port on the adapter, then plug the SanDisk Extreme SSD into the female USB port on the adapter. If you follow these steps, then the drive will be powered and will appear in the iOS 13 Files app and share dialog. Note that I tested this on an iPhone 11. I can't speak to whether it's compatible with all models supported by iOS 13 or not, or if other devices (like iPads) might work differently or provide enough power to forego the Lightning power cable requirement.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First thing I did when I got the SSD was to plug it in to my Android USB C device. The phone automatically formatted the SSD into exfat format. I was able to very quickly upload 10 months of photos and videos eqhating to about 76 GBs data between my phone and my wife's phone of family memories. Then I use the USB 3.1 adapter for PC that was provided in the packaging and connect my pc to it. This adapter works fantastic and was very fast even with my computer having only a USB 3.0 connection. The drive is very fast. I was surprised at how fast the SSD was compared to my mechanical hard drive. This was definitely faster than the high speed micrI sd, even when connected directly into my computer. I was able to quickly compress videos and photos directly on the SSD. This was definitely worth the trip to the store pickup.
