• It should work with USB 3.0 and is back compatible with USB 2.0. I use an older MAC with USB 2.0, and it worked fine and was still fast.

• This drive works fabulously on my 2008 vintage MacBook PRO, my MacBook Air (2013 vintage), and my iMac, which I purchased in 2015, late. It just screams on all of these machines.
