Will this work with an iPhone X in a Life Proof case? null

Yes, this item will work with your iPhoneX in it's case.

It should. The drive is not one solid piece like other drives. It's actually flexible in the middle, more like a clip. Basically, it's what holds the drive in place while attached to your device, and it's made to have some extra give in case there's a covering. It works fine with my iPad in its case. Just, obviously, don't go TOO far with it.

It worked easily on iPhone X, I have a slim case on mine that did not get in the way, don’t know about your case. Also worked easily with iPad.
