• you can do both, for the computer you can use strait the UBS port and for the Samsung device you should have an connector from it to the USB. and that will work too

• This particular usb is solely for iPhones. They have ones for androids. You have to see if your android phone uses usb c or micro usb. And yes they make ones that connect to the phone and computer.
