Will this work with the new 3ds xl? null

Yes I've had it in my New Nintendo 3 DS XL and never had any problems with it. It's not technically approved by Nintendo but almost none of the 2party accessories are.

Yes, almost any microSD can be used, I have this one for my 3ds also and it worked for me

I am unsure check the product specs for max allowable in your card slot. Also ensure it takes "micro". I am unfamiliar with this product do not know off the top of my head. Nothing a google search cannot fix. GL.
