I have never had an issue using them in any of my devices... laptop, dashtop, ford truck, TV's or any other devices and have not needed any special USB software. The only thing I can think would be the problem is to double check the format/extension on the file you are trying to read on your device to make sure it accepts that format or maybe your device is older and only uses the slower speed and not the faster one (2.0 or 3.0). Sometimes there are folder limitations on devices also. I don't delete anything off the memory stick or reformat or change anything. When I get a new one, I just add a folder called DATA and then subfolders within it for what ever my needs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most devices can only read up to 32GB and some devices less GB than that. Have you tried a smaller size USB?
