You can use the Sandisk 128 gb flash drive to backup your PS3 hard drive. I used one to do the very same thing with my 120 gb PS3 drive. If the PS3 drive is full, it may take two or three hours to do the backup. And yes, you can reformat the flash drive.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is no limit on size but it must be formatted as Fat32 which has a 4GB file size limit. So..you can fit several 4gb files on that size memory stick, but none larger than 4gb. I hope that helps
